Security tips for students:

Travel on well lit and high traffic roads (even if it takes longer to get home)
Don’t travel alone if possible
Stay alert to your surroundings and don’t get distracted by talking on your phone or listening to MP3 player
Travel in the first safety carriage of trains
If waiting for a train, stand in a well lit area near security cameras
Be cautious about reacting to any racial comments
Have emergency number ‘000’ as speed dial on your mobile
Don’t feel shy about calling or shouting for help if you are in danger

If you see or experience any attack, make sure you lodge a police complaint. You can also call the College’s critical incident line (24 hours a day) if you need to talk to a College support officer.
